Who We Are

The Virginia Beach Department of Public Health offers Family Planning Clinic services to assist women and men in planning their families. Clients must meet eligibility requirements and a fee may be charged based on ability to pay. Comprehensive and confidential health services include:

  • Birth control through oral contraceptives, Depo-Provera, IUD insertion, Nexplanon insertion, condoms, and nuvarings.
  • Breast exam and self breast exam education
  • Pap smears
  • Nutrition information
  • Safe sex information
  • Screening and treatment for sexually transmitted diseases
  • Preconception health information
  • Family planning counseling
