Breast & Cervical Cancer Screening, Every Woman's Life
Who We Are
Alexandria Neighborhood Health Services offers Every Woman's Life (EWL), a public health program that helps uninsured, low income women gain access to free breast and cervical cancer screening services. Screening and early detection reduce death rates, improves treatment options and increases survival.
In some sites where EWL services are offered, women can also be screened for high blood pressure, cholesterol, and glucose and also learn how to become more physically active, eat healthier foods, and more.
For detailed information about eligibility guidelines for EWL program and to find a screening provider site, go to http://www.vdh.virginia.gov/ofhs/Prevention/ewl/provider.htm.
Uninsured women must be between 40 and 64 years of age; income restrictions apply. Please call for more information. When calling, choose language preference, then press #2 for Women's Health.
