James C. “Jim” Roberts has been one of Virginia’s most skilled trial attorneys throughout his five decade career. A large part of his life has also been devoted to philanthropy. His deep civic involvement includes serving as Chairman of SeniorNavigator’s Board of Directors for over seven years.

SeniorNavigator’s mission – one that Jim wholeheartedly embraces – is to connect seniors, caregivers, adults with disabilities and their families to vital services available in their communities. SeniorNavigator provides valuable guidance at no cost to help thousands of families each year find the information they need to answer even the toughest questions in the most difficult of times.

The James C. Roberts Navigator Fund has been developed to honor the expertise, dedication, guidance, and commitment Jim has given to SeniorNavigator. Proceeds from the Fund will educate and empower families and individuals as they navigate the difficult decisions associated with aging, and assist them with locating and securing the services their loved ones need.

As SeniorNavigator’s Superman, Jim has helped the organization grow, evolve and flourish. During Jim’s tenure as Chairman, SeniorNavigator:

• became an independent 501(c)3 non-profit organization;
• developed a Local Government Partnership Program;
• forged partnerships with an additional 461 SeniorNavigator Centers throughout the state;
• expanded its mission to serve the disability population by launching disAbilityNavigator;
• increased the number of programs and services in its database by 9,000, for a total of over 23,000 listings accessible through a variety of consumer-friendly tools; and
• received 7 National awards for outstanding technology and positive impact on the quality of life for older adults.
