Event Description

The Virginia State Police, HEAT (Help Eliminate Auto Theft) event will be held on Saturday, April 20, 2024, from 11 am until 1 pm at the Target Parking Lot in Roanoke. 

The Virginia State Police offers a VIN (Vehicle Identification Number) Etching Program to combat auto theft. During this program, your VIN number is etched onto all the windows of your vehicle, taking approximately 10 minutes and causing no damage. This process prohibits thieves and facilitates the identification and recovery of stolen vehicles by law enforcement. 

Participants are advised to bring their vehicle registration and ID when attending the program.
