Who We Are

Volunteers at Learning Ally record textbooks at all academic levels for use by students with visual, perceptual or other physical disabilities. Readers are needed for all subjects. Books are digitally recorded. Volunteers must complete orientation and commit to a 2 hour session per week for one year A commitment of two hours a week for at least one year is required. Volunteers at the unit must be computer proficient. Training on digital audio equipment is provided.

Volunteers are also needed as recording session directors and book markers. Bus Line: Metrobus. Subway stop: Friendship Heights.
