Who We Are

The Virginia Housing Alliance (VHA) was formed as a result of a merger between the Virginia Coalition to End Homelessness (VCEH) and the Virginia Housing Coalition Information Services (VHCIS).  VHA and Virginia Housing Coalition (VHC), another statewide education and advocacy organization, formed a brother-sister relationship by aligning under one board of directors to ensure that both housing and ending homelessness in Virginia remained a priority.

VHA’S focus areas are::

  • Advocacy through developing and promoting a legislative and policy agenda that addresses State and Federal housing and homelessness issues.
  • Education through Conferences, Learning Collaboratives, and the implementation of a new Virginia HELP (Housing Education Learning Partnership).
  • Capacity Building through VHA’s AmeriCorp Vista program, we sustainably build the organizational capacity of housing nonprofits across the state.
